On 25 December, dress to ingest with family and friends. Our social hub is once again set to transform for our buffet lunch of festive food and flavour.
Executive Chef David Albert sets the standard for seafood dining in Melbourne. For the 2019 Christmas Day Lunch, he’ll be hand selecting a banquet of Crystal Bay Prawns, Tasmanian oysters and smoked salmon, green lip mussels, Morten Bay bugs, calamari and blue swimmer crab.
Epicurious Melbournians indulge in our buffet signatures: local salads, freshly cooked pastas, roasted carrot soup and delicious hot items. Think duck fat roasted kipfler potatoes; char grilled lamb rump; and potato gnocchi cooked in sage, roasted organic pumpkin and white wine sauce. Mmmm mouth-watering.
Traditional festive fare is splashed with a Cliveden twist and will be theatrically carved in the restaurant’s live kitchen. We’re baking the Christmas ham in Black Forest Smoke House gin and marmalade, and the slow cooked turkey roulade will be generously stuffed with sage & onion, cranberry jelly & jus.
For dessert, it’s the pastry kitchen’s time to shine with house made festive pudding and sweets. And to top it all off, The Cliveden’s famous free-flowing chocolate fountain is yours to devour on the merriest day of the year.
