On December 25th, dress to ingest with family and friends. Our social hub is set to transform for a traditional buffet lunch of festive food and flavour.
Our Executive Chef David Albert has set the standard for seafood dining in Melbourne. For the 2019 Christmas Day Lunch, he’ll be hand selecting a banquet of Crystal Bay Prawns, Tasmanian oysters and smoked salmon, green lip mussels, Morten Bay bugs, calamari and blue swimmer crab.
The lunch will treat guests to a diverse menu of buffet signatures: local salads, freshly cooked pastas, roasted carrot soup and belt loosening hot items. Think duck fat roasted kipfler potatoes, char grilled lamb rump, and potato gnocchi cooked in sage, roasted organic pumpkin and white wine sauce, just to name a few.
Traditional festive fare is being splashed with a Cliveden twist and will be theatrically carved before your eyes in the restaurant’s live kitchen. We’re baking the Christmas ham in Blackforest smokehouse gin and marmalade, and the slow cooked turkey roulade will be generously stuffed with sage & onion, cranberry jelly & Jus.
For dessert, it’s the pastry kitchen’s time to shine with house made festive pudding and sweets carefully crafted by our very own Pastry Chef. And to top it all off, The Cliveden’s famous free-flowing chocolate fountain is all yours to devour on the merriest day of the year.
