Our traditional Sunday Roast takes on a new game for the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival with a one off feast serving up slow roasted venison and wild boar. Both meats will be paired with wines from our event partner Fowles Wines from the Strathbogie Ranges.
Some consider wild boar as a cross between beef and pork, a darker meat with a rich and nutty flavour. Venison is lean, tender with a subtle game flavour, both meats standing up well to a glass of red.
The event is communal dining, with shared plates of these roast game meats and sides, finishing with local cheeses. Each person will also enjoy a wine flight by Fowles Wine to pair with their roast.
